Apple iPhone 5S / Specification

The iPhone 5S was Apple's 2013 flagship and one of its most consequential. It introduced Touch ID — the fingerprint sensor in the Home button that defined iPhone security for years — and the A7, the first 64-bit chip in any smartphone, paired with the M7 motion coprocessor.

It kept the 5's 4-inch design, Lightning port and 3.5mm jack, improved the 8MP camera with a wider aperture and dual-LED True Tone flash, and added a Gold finish.

The budget 5C launched alongside it; the 5S was succeeded by the larger iPhone 6. For Touch ID and the 64-bit leap, it's a milestone model. Launched at about $649.
