The iPhone 13 Pro is the compact 6.1-inch member of Apple's 2021 Pro line, sharing all of its core hardware with the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max. Announced on September 14, 2021 and released on September 24, it was the first iPhone to feature a 120Hz ProMotion display: an LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel with an adaptive 10-120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and better battery efficiency. It is powered by the 5 nm Apple A15 Bionic with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU, and pairs a smaller notch with a brighter display reaching 1200 nits peak.
The camera system was a major focus. The triple 12 MP rear array combines a faster f/1.5 wide camera with sensor-shift OIS, a new f/2.8 3x telephoto, and an f/1.8 ultrawide that gained autofocus and a dedicated macro mode for the first time. A LiDAR scanner aids low-light autofocus and depth, while features like ProRAW, ProRes video recording, Cinematic mode, Photographic Styles, and Smart HDR 4 round out the package. Video tops out at 4K 60fps with Dolby Vision HDR.
A larger 3095 mAh battery delivers up to 22 hours of video playback, and the phone supports 5G, MagSafe wireless charging, Wi-Fi 6, and IP68 water resistance. Storage ranges from 128GB up to a new 1TB tier. The iPhone 13 Pro succeeded the iPhone 12 Pro and was itself replaced by the iPhone 14 Pro. From about $999.
