The iPhone 16 Plus is the 6.7-inch member of Apple's 2024 base lineup, pairing the line's longest battery life with the new Camera Control button, the Action button, Apple Intelligence and the Apple A18 chip. The big-screen Super Retina XDR OLED panel with Dynamic Island reaches 2000 nits peak brightness, and the phone ships with a 4674 mAh battery rated for up to 27 hours of video playback. It carries an IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC for Apple Pay and a USB Type-C port. Five colors are offered: Black, White, Pink, Teal and Ultramarine.

It is honest to call this a big-screen base phone rather than a Pro: the display stays at a 60 Hz refresh rate, the USB-C port runs at USB 2.0 speeds, and there is no dedicated telephoto lens. The 16 Plus succeeds the iPhone 15 Plus, and the following year Apple replaced the Plus slot with the iPhone Air. From about $899.
