The iPhone 17 Pro is the compact 6.3-inch member of Apple's late-2025 Pro line, sitting below the larger 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max. Its most visible change is a switch to an aerospace-grade aluminium unibody frame, abandoning the titanium used on the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro; the new chassis houses a vapor-chamber cooling system that Apple says delivers up to 40% better sustained performance than the 16 Pro. The front is protected by Ceramic Shield 2, the back is glass for wireless charging, and the body is IP68 rated.

Inside is the Apple A19 Pro paired with 12 GB of RAM, with storage tiers of 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB (a 2 TB option is exclusive to the Pro Max). The 6.3-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel runs ProMotion from 1 to 120 Hz, supports always-on display and peaks at 3000 nits outdoors. The redesigned "plateau" rear camera carries three 48 MP sensors - wide, ultrawide and a 4x tetraprism telephoto that uses sensor crop to reach an optical-quality 8x zoom - alongside a LiDAR scanner. Video recording reaches 4K at 120fps in Dolby Vision, with ProRes and Log support, and the new 18 MP square-sensor Center Stage front camera adds Dual Capture for simultaneous front-and-rear recording.

The phone shipped with iOS 26, Dynamic Island, Face ID, Camera Control, Apple Intelligence, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C with 10Gbps transfer, 5G and MagSafe wireless charging, in three finishes: Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver. From about $1,099.
